We LOVE hanging out with our friends and planning things to with them. In April of 2018 we hosted a murder mystery party set in the 1920s. It was a BLAST and we cannot wait to host something similar. 


In late July (2018) we took our first "us only" vacation since our honeymoon 7 years ago. We went to St. Pete Beach in Florida and stayed at a beachfront hotel. Walking miles of beach every morning and every evening was one of our favorite things about this trip.



This summer we took a family trip to Chicago to see the White Sox. My parents had never visited "The Bean" before and it was a must see before we headed to the game. They had also never ridden in an Uber before, and are now completely hooked!


In June of 2018 I finished my masters degree in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Grand Canyon University. Going to graduation was not possible because I would have had to of gone in April, taken time off school, and spent a ton of money on plane tickets. Instead, Tony decided to throw me a graduation celebration at our home. The ceremony came complete with pomp and circumstance, as well as a the GCU fight song. We even had cake afterwords! 



We LOVE camp. We have been helping with camp for over a decade and each year we look forward to camp more than we do Christmas. This year we were the King and Queen of RRCC and we took our duties very seriously! 




There are some absolutely wonderful people in the world. Our wedding photographers fall into that category. They have such a passion for helping others achieve their dreams of becoming a family. They took the photo below along with many more for us to use in our adoption profiles. We are so grateful to them for their enormous generosity. Seth Morris Photography, you guys ROCK!

This is my main man Maverick. The yorkie that STOLE MY HEART!!!! I've always wanted a yorkie, and my dream came true in October of  2015! 
And this little miss is Princess Stella, she's Maverick's little wifey. We were blessed with her in April of 2016. They are now bffs! 
After losing our son I wanted to do something special to commemorate the wonderful life we shared. I landed on this tattoo. I absolutely love it! You see, my son will always, always, always, be 100% a part of my heart, and no matter what happens, I will always love him.

My grandma's surprise 70th birthday! What a great day to celebrate a wonderful lady! I am part of a huge family and it is never boring when we all get together! Pictured are my brother, myself, and my husband Tony. My grandmother is seated. My uncle happens to be photo bombing here and serving up some cake!

Talk about it

One of the things I love to do is educate people, probably a good thing since I'm a teacher. ;) However, educating people about adoption and foster care is a big passion of mine. This last week we had the privilege of going out to dinner with a couple who is in the beginning stages of considering adoption from Foster Care. At one point in the conversation Tony said to me, "I'll talk for awhile, you eat." Well, that didn't last long because I had so much I wanted to say. You see all of this experience in foster care and the world of adoption leaves me with so much to share. I could literally talk for hours and hours about our experiences and the knowledge we posses. Many of you have asked what we are doing now that we are officially contracted, I thought it would be easiest to make a list! 😘😊☺️ Things we are doing while waiting to bring home Charlie Brown:  Loan paperwork for the reaming fee  ($10,000)  Working on an AWESOME adoption t-shirt  Profile for birth moms to see Writing birth mom letters Submitting paperwork for profiles Getting paperwork rejected (completely normal and expected, the profile is a long process, but it has to be perfect!) Redoing profile paper work so it's perfect Buying cloth diapers Adding odds and end baby things to our collection  Attending online adoption trainings Communicating with our personal worker at the agency Updating home study paper work Updating medical records  Emails, emails, emails  Waiting... we can't be officially matched until the remainder of our fee is paid, we are working on adoption loans, fundraising, and saving money.  ...
